This was an early round at the Bluebird. There were 4 singer-songwriter’s in the round, and I was the only local girl. Guess what? There wasn’t a single cheatin’ song in the whole round! AND, look out Nashville songwriters! These three out-of-towners are exactly the types that strike fear in the heart of every Nashville  songwriter–we’d like to hope we’ve cornered the market on cleverly composed, neatly pieced together ditties, but we’re wrong. Particularly, I’d like to highlight female singer-songwriter Ellis.Go to her myspace page here, and check out her song about coffee. It is awesome.
